Even though embarking on their maiden continental campaign, Oliver Glasner's side are adapting at a rapid pace. Without key figures like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the London club departed Dublin with a comfortable win that virtually guarantees them a place in the Europa Conference League playoffs.
Another three points in their upcoming fixture against Finland's KuPS should be sufficient to secure direct passage to the last 16, particularly after a prior stumble against Strasbourg.
Squad Members Grasp the Moment
This match provided a chance for several Palace's fringe talent to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second start after joining on loan from Getafe, notched the account with a well-taken goal. Striker Eddie Nketiah contributed a another, scoring for the second consecutive succession.
The Shelbourne team that had concluded their league season proved no match against a mostly second-string Palace lineup. The visitors were already depleted by the reports that Mateta and Muñoz are out with leg problems.

Shelbourne were clinging on for dear life. Full-back Kameron Ledwidge was lucky to escape a booking for a couple of robust challenges on Yeremy Pino, before Chris Richards rattled the woodwork with a header from a corner.

The match was effectively over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino weaved past some comically weak challenges before calmly slotting a shot past goalkeeper Wessel Speel to make it 3-0.
Following the break, coach Oliver Glasner took the chance to withdraw several individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse came close to scoring his first touch, but saw his effort blocked.
Esse was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one shot strike off both posts before being clasped on the line. Uche also blazed a glaring chance, showing there is still scope for improvement in his game.
The only concern for Palace was a second-half injury to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This allowed 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, capping an otherwise perfect night for the traveling side.
